Strawberry cake covered in 2 layers of chocolate ganache, covered again in swiss meringue buttercream. For a good friend of mine, at her request.

1st birthday

A first birthday cake for a sweet little girl. White cake with buttercream and marshmellow fondant accents.

"The Dog"

I was told that the girl this cake was for wanted "The Dog" theme. That was very fun to find, since there aren't very many options out there, especially not at the BX/PX. Thank goodness for Amazon. The flavor was strawberry lemonaide and the bottom tier was lemonaide with vanilla mousse in the middle.

Snakes

A snake for a snake lover for his 4th birthday. Chocolate cake with buttercream frosting.

Giraffe

A giraffe cake for a first birthday with a jungle theme.

Rainbows

This was formy daughter's 4th birthday. She wanted rainbows, butterflies, and dragonflies. I made the butterflies and dragonflies out of cookies. The cake is strawberry with buttercream.

Monkey

This was for a one-year-old. It is chocolate andred velvet cake with buttercream frosting. I used the plates from the party for the theme.

Rum

I made this last-minute cake for a friend of mine who loves Malibu Rum. I think it would have turned out better using fondant, but buttercream is what I had on hand. If it was only for adults, I would have incorporated the rum in the frosting.

pink and brown

This cake was for a little girl's pamper party. It was red velvet covered in chocolate ganache. Unfortuantely, it didn't make the trip very well. Byt the time we got there, it cracked and I couldn't fix it in time. She was only charged for supplies. Live and learn.
