1st birthday

A first birthday cake for a sweet little girl. White cake with buttercream and marshmellow fondant accents.

"The Dog"

I was told that the girl this cake was for wanted "The Dog" theme. That was very fun to find, since there aren't very many options out there, especially not at the BX/PX. Thank goodness for Amazon. The flavor was strawberry lemonaide and the bottom tier was lemonaide with vanilla mousse in the middle.

Snakes

A snake for a snake lover for his 4th birthday. Chocolate cake with buttercream frosting.

Giraffe

A giraffe cake for a first birthday with a jungle theme.

Rainbows

This was formy daughter's 4th birthday. She wanted rainbows, butterflies, and dragonflies. I made the butterflies and dragonflies out of cookies. The cake is strawberry with buttercream.

Monkey

This was for a one-year-old. It is chocolate andred velvet cake with buttercream frosting. I used the plates from the party for the theme.

Rum

I made this last-minute cake for a friend of mine who loves Malibu Rum. I think it would have turned out better using fondant, but buttercream is what I had on hand. If it was only for adults, I would have incorporated the rum in the frosting.

pink and brown

This cake was for a little girl's pamper party. It was red velvet covered in chocolate ganache. Unfortuantely, it didn't make the trip very well. Byt the time we got there, it cracked and I couldn't fix it in time. She was only charged for supplies. Live and learn.

Black, white, and pink

This cake was made for 2 couples' birthdays. I was contacted and asked for a cake for 4 adults, men and women. It had to be classy since they were having cocktails at a nice restaurant. Well, I sat and pondered the design for a couple of days and had a really hard time. Then she told me that they would have baloons there...black, white, silver, and pink. So, I went with thatcolor scheme. The cake itself is strawberry-lemon with buttercream frosting and chocolate covered strawberries on top. The pink flowers are made from gumpaste. I used chocolate and black foodcoloring for the details and little silver ball candies for some added shine. They loved it!

Super Mario Bros

Super MArio Brothers cake. The top tier is a 6" round covered in buttercream. The bottom tier is a rectangle covered in buttercream and marshmellow fondant. The figures were provided by the mom and the rest is frosting.

Hawaiian Barbie

Hawaiian Barbie. Chocolate and vanilla caketo feed about 40 people. Buttercream frosting with handmade flowers from marshmellow fondant.

Bowling

A bowling ball and pin for an end-of-the-season bowling party. Made with buttercream frosting and vanilla and chocolate cake.

Green Feet

A cake made for a family moving to the states. The words are all requested bythe friend who ordered it. The feet are from the squadron/command they were attatched to.

This is Barney and friends on a number 2. Made from a 10x15 cake and cut to size. Serves about 25 people.

This is a cake for a baby shower. The bottom is a block made with buttercream and marshmellow fondant (MMF). The top is a baby's butt and feet cake covered in butercream and then MMF.

Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell cake made woth buttercream frosting and marshmellow fondant details. The flowers are handmade and the candle is from the BX.

My Little Pony

My Little Pony cake. The pny's are toys and the rainbowis candy. The flowers and butterflies are made from Marshmellow Fondant. Buttercream frosting and strawberry and lemon cake.

Elmo

A simple Elmo cake for a little boy. Buttercream frosting with Elmo made from candy.

Slice of Royalty

I was asked to make the "Slice of Cake" cake for a girl's party and to make it really "girly" with lots of pink and purple. This is what I came up with. It is covered in buttercream. The flowers and tiara are royal icing.

Hannah Montana sheet cake

A simple Hannah Montana sheet cake. I thought the musical notes would be a great detail for this cake. Buttercream frosting with royal icing details.

Football

This is a marble cake covered in buttercream with chocolate footballs, including the bigger one. I used the #1 pan to make it a bit easier.

Fit for a Princess

This cake was definately a challenge! But it was fun. It was a 3-tiered cake to feed 12-15 people, so it was mini-sized. Covered in marshmellow fondant with buttercream decorations and a small "smash cake" for the birthday girl.
