Aloha!

This is my favorite cake so far. I was asked to make a cake for a Hawaiian themed birthday party. This is one of the ideas that I came up with that the birthday girl liked. It is Devil's Food cake with buttercream frosting. The Hibiscus flowers, Palm Tree leaves and the waves are marshmellow fondant. The tree trunks are pretzel rods and the Hula Girl and Boy are Polly Pockets that the mom provided me with. This cake serves from 30 to 35 people. The birthday girl really liked it and I am very proud to say that I made this cake!

Slice of cake 2

I had a last-minute request to make a cake for a lady's birthday. She wanted a cake similar to the "Slice of Cake" picture with similar colors. I didn't want to make it exactly the same, so I added the flowers rather than frogs and I like the way it turned out. This one is silver-white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting with fudge accents.

lots and lots of chocolate

I made this cake for a friend that LOVES chocolate while I was in the states. It is devil's food cake baked in an 8" round pan with chocolate mousse filling in the shape of heart (inside) and chocolate ganache for the frosting. The roses are made from royal icing and the of course, chocolate covered strawberries.

Little mermaid sheet cake

This cake is silver-white with cream cheese frosting. I was given a picture to go by for the design and that is exactly how she wanted it. It is 2 layers filled with raspberry and serves 60 people.

Turtle shell

The party theme was Ninja Turtles and I was asked to make a turtle shell. For this one, I used Marshmellow Fondant and buttercream frosting for the filling. I tried to use the same colors as the Ninja Turtle shells to make it look as much like them as possible. This cake served 40 to 45 poeple and was about 6 thin layers, maybe 7. Hope you like it!

Little Mermaid on a Rock

This is a marble cake with cream cheese frosting. The doll is from the little girl that this cake was for and served 20 to 25 people. She wanted a cake that included a mermaid, flowers, and butterflies, so I did my best to incorporate all 3. The butterflies and her name were made with candy metls.

I made this cake while in the states for a 5 year-old's birthday. I tried to copy the actual Hannah Montana guitar as best as I could. It is all buttercream frosting. Single layer that fed about 20 people. She loved it and I was very pleased with the way it turned out. I will be back in Okinawa ready for more orders at the end of October. Email me and we can plan your next occassion!
